The markers’ and lumibrite orange colouring are designed for increased visibility in the dark word of the night sea – orange is the colour of night divers’ lamps, allowing time to be read clearly under dark conditions
The 2021 collection is a trio of Seiko’s signature designs, incorporating a ‘Monster,’ ‘Tuna,’ and ‘Samurai’ – nicknames invented by Seiko fans for their shapes and looks.
This specific watch is named ‘Samurai’ because of its angular shaped design which looks as if it were sliced by a Japanese Samurai sword.
