Chrysoberyl is a hard-wearing gemstone, making it ideal for rings and other jewellery. It is found in different colours, with green and yellow being popular, and its most famous variety is the very rare alexandrite, which changes colour under different lighting conditions.

We would recommend cleaning chrysoberyl with warm soapy water and a soft brush (we use an electric toothbrush), and drying with a soft cloth.
