Known for its golden colour, citrine is a variety of quartz, which ranges in tone from a golden yellow to a warm orange. Its name, rather appropriately, is derived from the word ‘citrus’.

Citrine is a hard-wearing gemstone, making it ideal for rings and other jewellery. We would recommend storing citrine out of direct sunlight as it can occasionally affect the colour. To clean this gemstone, we recommend using warm soapy water and a soft brush (we use an electric toothbrush), and drying with a soft cloth.
