Cubic zirconia (CZ) is perhaps the best known diamond simulant and is popular with those of you who like the sparkle of diamonds, but not the price tag.

This sparkling stone is not a natural gemstone that is found in the Earth, and should not be confused with zircon, which is natural.

CZ is relatively hard-wearing and offers good value for money and plenty of sparkle. We recommend cleaning your CZ jewellery with a mild soapy solution and a soft toothbrush (we use an electric toothbrush), rinsing thoroughly and drying with a soft cloth.
